Race Across the Internet

I’m fairly certain that if you’re reading this blog you’re pretty good at using the internet. Maybe over the last few years you’ve developed enough skill with it that you hardly have to think to find that tidbit of information you’re looking for and share it. You know almost innately how to fill out a comment box, post something to your newsfeed, or hyperlink a URL. Even your personal store of information has probably grown over your years with the internet – think of the countless times you’ve visited Wikipedia and hopped from one link to the next, devouring information, or all the bands you learned about just by listening to Pandora.

Just how skilled are you at navigating the internet though? Google Chrome has a fun new interactive game on YouTube (that I heard about via Just Things) that tests your Internet know-how and measures your speed against its own. I was a little distracted when I played this, but being what they call a “digital native,” I thought I’d be a pro – turns out I’m just average. 😛

Where do you rate on the Chrome speedometer? If you try it out I’d love to hear how your scores compare to mine!

  2. Yay! I got 1:52, or 5486 out of 109554 players. Apparently that’s “chrome fast”!
